Series of 4 exclusive prints created initially in 2013 to accompany the David Bowie Is exhibition at the V&A Museum London.
The ambition for this portrait was to portray David Bowie not as Ziggy Stardust but in the less documented Berlin era, and still take distinctive visual elements from his various looks throughout the time of his career, to combine it and produce an iconic and unique image. The drawing of Bowie is reduced to the bare minimum, bringing out his characteristic eyes and expressing a sense of elegance.

For the redesigned NZZ Fokus Magazine I was briefed to design a series of covers with each having an iconic illustration and a background pattern that supported the image. The task for the cover of every issue is to find a clever iconic figure to represent the whole issue’s theme, but without being too general or stereotyped. The idea of the background pattern was to bring the main figure into a surrounding that supports the content in a witty or iconic way.

For the anniversary issue of Mare I created a series of 16 images, illustrating 100 personal sea related stories of celebrities in the magazine.
